This will be an overview of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm stains which were released in Australia in November 2012. I managed to grab 6 during a buy one get one free promotion. All the shades I bought were in around about the same color families. The Revlon website describes them as:
- A pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon.
- For softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of colour that lasts hour after hour.
- No sharpener needed, retractable tip.
- Light peppermint fragrance..
- For medium buildable coverage.
The shades I've got are : 035 Charmed, 001 Honey, 010 Darling, 010 Cherish, 020 Lovesick and 045 Romantic.

Stain after 7 hours |
Charmed is a nude color that goes on quite light initially, but after an hour or so, the stain really sets in to a brighter, more vivid peach colour. This colour's stain wears away the most evenly for me but i usually don't use it because I'm not used to the more toned down nude lip you initially get with this, even if this effect doesn't last long.
Honey, my most used colour is mauve-tinged pink which gives a nice natural my-lips-but-better effect after the stain has set in. I like the effect this one gives and the stain lasts around ~4 hours which is decent enough.
Darling is a lilac color which, while looking a little scary in the tube applies more on the pinkish side. In full sunlight the purple tinge is more apparent but even then, it is not dauntingly purple. It leaves a more cool-toned pink stain on my lips.
Cherish is a pretty barbie pink color and i find that the stain it leaves is similar to Darling. It is also a colour i like to use often and gives a nice polished look.
Lovesick is my favourite color, being a medium bright magenta. Although it is my favourite it is probably my least used due to the stain. The stain is extremely long lasting which I love, but after the balm has worn off and the stain is left by itself i find it wearing away quite unevenly - for me it wears away form the centre of the lip first leaving a strange kind of feathering outline around the lips, leaving the inner portion of the lips bare. I haven't seen other people talk about this but I think it might just be for me because I tend to mess around with my mouth a lot - ie licking/biting my lips. This can be solved by a quick touch up around 2-3 hours after applying it and then it will look fine for the rest of the day. I usually just can't be bothered which is why I don't use it more often.
Romantic was given to my sister as I already have a few red lip products but it is quite well used. Applied sheerly it can be quite natural or it can be built up for a more dramatic look. A good alternative for the traditional liquid lipstains without the dryness.
Overall, these are grreat as lip stains. They last a long time (although the moisturising balm goes away after aboout an hour) and they are very easy and fun to use :)
